Epidural

9:45 - Anesthesiologist arrives

9:55 - Anesthesiologist makes second attempt at epidural

10:00 - Epidural is in, Melissa stops feeling pain

10:10 - OB arrives and asks me if I took Melissa out drinking prior to arriving at hospital (Melissa tends to get loopy the closer she gets to delivery).

10:15 - Melissa's water breaks. OB reports to Jake that there is some meconium in the fluid.

10:16 - Jake freaks out because there's meconium in the fluid.

10:17 - Jake calms down.

10:20 - OB asks Jake how involved he wants to be in the delivery. Jake responds by saying he wants to be a visitor to the hospital today and stay above the mason dixon line for this delivery.

10:25 - OB informs Melissa that she doesn't think she'll make it to midnight (far away in Utah Charlotte rejoices).

10:30 - We're back to waiting.
